The doctor ordered another CT for the very next day, Tuesday, May 20, 2008. This CT was of the abdomen and pelvis to see where else, if anywhere, the cancer was. I went with him and stayed by his side until we was doing the CT. We worked really hard to get the results of that CT the same day so we wouldn’t have to wait. We had some great unnamed help, they know who that are!
The help was so great, infact, that the doctor called Josh around 6pm to tell him that the only other place that showed cancer was the liver. The doctor said that the liver showed a small amount of cancer. That was great news since normally testicular cancer spreads up and since it was already in the lungs we were expecting the worse.
I worked that night because I thought working would help take my mind off of things. While I thought about it all night I was glad I worked, I have some great friends at work that helped me all night. There is no way anyone could get through this without the support of family and friends and we were just starting to realize that!
