Josh seems to be in a little more pain today than he has been in. He did keep down a tiny bit of mac and cheese tonight.
The doctor making rounds this weekend was Dr. Fintel which was who we originally wanted to see but Schertz had the first available appointment. We really like Fintel. He said that the 3 chemo drugs for testicular cancer was really tough, it is one of the toughest regimens there is. He said that when he was in Charlottesville as a MD he had a 19year old with testicular cancer who had undergone the first round of chemo and the patient told Fintel that he wasn’t coming back. When it came time for the second round the patient didn’t show up so Fintel called the police and had the patient picked up and brought in so he could do his second round of chemo. Fintel said in the 70’s & 80’s testicular cancer was a death wish. However, he said that with the chemo drugs they use now its curable. He said that Josh has two very life threatening problems now but they are both curable BUT he stressed that was if he didn’t get another infection.
