Had a bad day.

Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever

Unfortunately today did not get any better.  He was in severe pain all day.  Between the nurses, the oncologist, the orthopedic surgeon, and me we bugged Dr. Harron to death today.  He did finally give Josh another steroid tonight and is letting him had some stronger pain meds.  This morning the surgery was set for Friday morning but tonight Dr. Harron said he was going to try his best to move it to Thursday…probably because he wants us to stop bugging him.  Josh is still really off, physically.  Mentally he is no different other than not being able to remember what has happened since the seizure.  Physically he is off major.  He can not longer move his left arm, leg, foot, or toes.  He can’t feel is someone is touching them.

The orthopedic surgeon came in this afternoon and said basically Josh needs surgery to fix his shoulder.  He has a locked anterior dislocated shoulder.  They can’t put it back into place without breaking the shoulder.  It will require extensive surgery about 3 hours long.  They will have to make 1 incision to take the shoulder apart and put it back into place and another incision to try to fix the rotator cuff tear.  Not sure when this will be done it is very painful but for the moment the brain surgery is needed more.  The shoulder surgery might have to wait until radiation is finished.

Thanks to everyone who has prayed for us, thought about us, and helped us in anyway.  I left Josh tonight to get some much needed rest at home.  He is in good hands with one of our friends Tiffany who happened to be working in the er the night he had his seizure.  He told all the nurses about her today and about how she saved his life once already so I am very comfortable with her being with him.
