So round 2 of chemo is done, halfway through! Josh wasn’t able to keep any food down today so the doctor decided to keep him at the hospital until they get the nausea under control. So far he has added one more med for the nausea, Emend which is like the Zofran in terms of being new and expensive therefore he should only take it the first few days. The Zofran is not as new as the Emend and insurance will only approve 10 tablets every 30 days of the Zofran. After the first 10 pills the next 10 pills would be $500 is insurance didn’t approve it. I can’t imagine how expensive the Emend will be.
