Sorry its been a while since I’ve updated. We’ve had lots of things going on along with me working TONS! I’m working 80 hours this week…which should help out our financial situation. We have medical bills like you wouldn’t believe. We had met Josh’s calender year deductible with his insurance however, we have had to …

Phew, thank goodness we’re home
We got in yesterday afternoon, we were both exhausted! The flights home were interesting. We had a lot of turbulence from Indianapolis to Charlotte. We both hated it, Josh was scared and had I been sitting closer to the bathroom I would have probably just been in there leaning over the toilet for the rest …
We are here
Yesterday started out rough. I woke up sick so my mom called my doctor at home and called me in something that we picked up on the way to the airport. We got to the airport 2 hours early. Thankfully we requested a motorized cart for when we got to Charlotte. Once we got into …
Leaving tomorrow
We fly out of Roanoke tomorrow morning. We are both excited and scared, neither one of us has flown before. I’ve been a little under the weather today with allergies. I’ve taken all kinds of meds so hopefully I will feel better tomorrow but I’m not counting on it. We are both thankful to have …
Long day
Once again at 3am we were woke up for another chest xray, which looked good. They took the chest tube out around 10 and the doctor said as long as Dr. Schertz said it was okay Josh could go home. We waited on an oncologist to come in all day (Dr. Schertz was in Allegany …
Todays update
Josh is feeling better today. He has been eating. He is still experiencing some pain which is to be expected with the chest tube still in. Hopefully, it will come out tomorrow..it all depends on the results of tomorrow’s x-ray. Speaking of x-ray….they come in every morning to get the x-ray at 3:30am! The latest …

About 15 minutes later the anesthesiologist came and got Josh, they were ready for him. I don’t …
Todays Dr. appointment
The appointment today lasted over 2 hours. When we got there Dr. Schertz still had not heard back from Indiana University. Josh still can’t get the nausea under control so we spend about 15-20 minutes going over a different “cocktail”. After that we discussed some concerns Josh had over his lung and feeling that it …
Out of the hospital… again
Josh had a CT done on Saturday to rule out a bowel obstruction. To save his body and time they went ahead and scaned his chest, abdomen, and pelvis for the bowel obstruction and to see if the cancer was gone. There was no bowel obstruction, they don’t know what is making his stomach hurt …
Surgery went well
Surgery went wall today. They took him back about 12:15 and he got out around 3. They drained over 2 liters of fluid from his left lung. Josh said that the doctor said that he would have to do it two more times to get all the fluid off. I didn’t get to speak with …
